The Sankofa Panel Shirt is a study in memory, identity, and return.

Inspired by the West African concept of Sankofa  “to go back and retrieve what was forgotten”, this piece reflects the layered visual language of the African diaspora through printed textile panels and relaxed structure.

Each shirt is cut and sewn by hand in California using 100% cotton fabric, transforming cultural inspiration into a wearable document of remembering.

This garment is part of the Velt’Larant Monthly Inspiration Series, where each release begins with a bowtie and expands into larger forms of expression.

No two releases are exactly the same.
